Stormblood Spoilers
Hikari was born early in the Garlean occupation of Doma. Her birth was in a location shunned by many, hidden away among the red lights. Her mother was a young a beautiful courtesan that an Elezen officer of Garlemald took a fancy to. Of course, such fancy was merely fleeting, though he did send money to support her after. A pittance, really, but enough to help her continue raising their daughter while continuing her work.
Hikari's life seemed set to follow in her mother's footsteps, but the girl wanted nothing of the sort. The next notable long time customer of her mother was another soldier of Garlemald, and this one would eventually take her to wed. For a time their life was peaceful, with the soldier completing his duties carefully and raising his adoptive daughter. She trained under him in the ways of the sword, looking to follow in the footsteps of the her father figure. It was not to be. When the Doman resistance forces rose up against Garlemald he died. Shortly after his funeral, Hikari returned home one day to find her mother brutally murdered, the word "traitor" carved into her.It was at this point that Hikari decided to throw in with the Garleans. It was revenge to start with, but that revenge was quickly tempered as she trained. A halfblood was not treated nicely within the ranks, but her initial loyalty and methods for getting back at her bullies caught the attention of the Frumentarium. Scooped up into their ranks, Hikari quickly trained for infiltration, sabotage, and murder. There were still Doman refugees, and she could slip in through another avenue amongst other agents to infiltrate Eorzea. Hikari eir Hanabira would board a Limsan vessel in Hingashi. Regretfully that vessel was sunk shortly after she made landfall in Limsa Lominsa.Since then, Hikari has sold her services as a blade for hire. Seeking out work from the officials of the three city states, Hikari was able to send information on some missions against Garlean forces to her handlers and even take some on herself. It was so sad when she was the sole survivor of those missions and came back wounded. [Shadowbringers/Endwalker Spoilers] As we all know, Garlemald has fallen from power and left its Frumentarii agents in precarious positions. Hikari seeks to stabilize in Eorzea now, trapped without a way out or allies. All she can do is hope that she won't be found out through Garlean documentation. Spies are not treated well, and there's plenty of blood on her hands.

I tend to be down for dark themes in roleplay, with violence and general unpleasantness and what not. Highly imperfect relationships can be interesting to play out.Housing Locations:

Measure the Mark (Ex)
At 3rd level, when a thief makes a Sleight of Hand check to take something from a creature, the target makes its Perception check before the thief makes her Sleight of Hand check, and the thief knows the Perception check result. She can decide whether or not to make the check based on the results of the target’s Perception check. If the thief elects not to make the check, she can make a Bluff check, opposed by the target’s Sense Motive, to prevent the target from noticing the attempt.
Danger Sense (Ex)
At 3rd level, a thief gains a +1 bonus on Reflex saves to avoid traps and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps. In addition, she gains a +1 bonus on Perception checks to avoid being surprised by a foe. These bonuses increase by 1 every three thief levels thereafter (to a maximum of +6 at 18th level). This ability counts as trap sense for the purpose of any feat or class prerequisite. The bonuses gained from this ability stack with those gained from trap sense (from another class).
Debilitating Injury (Ex)
At 4th level, whenever a thief deals sneak attack damage to a foe, she can also debilitate the target of her attack, causing it to take a penalty for 1 round (this is in addition to any penalty caused by a thief talent or other special ability). The thief can choose to apply any one of the following penalties when the damage is dealt.
Bewildered: The target becomes bewildered, taking a –2 penalty to AC. The target takes an additional –2 penalty to AC against all attacks made by the thief. At 10th level and 16th level, the penalty to AC against attacks made by the thief increases by –2 (to a maximum of –6).
Disoriented: The target takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls. In addition, the target takes an additional –2 penalty on all attack rolls it makes against the thief. At 10th level and 16th level, the penalty on attack rolls made against the thief increases by –2 (to a maximum of –6).
Hampered: All of the target’s speeds are reduced by half (to a minimum of 5 feet). In addition, the target cannot take a 5-foot step.
These penalties do not stack with themselves, but additional attacks that deal sneak attack damage extend the duration by 1 round. A creature cannot suffer from more than one penalty from this ability at a time. If a new penalty is applied, the old penalty immediately ends. Any form of healing applied to a target suffering from one of these penalties also removes the penalty.Uncanny Dodge (Ex)
Starting at 4th level, a thief can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does she lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. She still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A thief with this ability can still lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against her. If a thief already has uncanny dodge from a different class, she automatically gains improved uncanny dodge (see below) instead.
Improved Theft (Ex)
At 5th level, a thief gains a +2 competence bonus on Steal combat maneuvers and any Sleight of Hand skill checks. She gains an additional +2 bonus for every four levels after 5th.
Thief’s Edge (Ex)
At 5th level, a thief has mastered a single skill beyond that skill’s normal boundaries, gaining results that others can only dream about. She gains the skill unlock powers for that skill as appropriate for her number of ranks in that skill. At 10th, 15th, and 20th levels, she chooses an additional skill and gains skill unlock powers for that skill as well.

Skilled Liar (Ex)
At 7th level, whenever a thief uses Bluff to attempt to deceive someone, she gains a bonus on the opposed roll equal to 1/2 her thief level (minimum +1).
Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex)
A thief of 8th level can no longer be flanked; she can react to opponents on opposite sides of her as easily as she can react to a single attacker. This defense denies creatures the flanking bonus by flanking her, unless the attacker has at least four more thief levels than the target does.
Distraction (Ex)
At 9th level, whenever a thief is detected while using Stealth, she can immediately attempt a Bluff skill check opposed by the Sense Motive skill of the creature that spotted her. If this check succeeds, the target assumes that the noise was something innocent and disregards the detection. This only functions if the creature cannot see the thief. This ability can only be used once during a given Stealth attempt. If the same creature detects the thief’s presence again, the ability has no effect.
Mug (Ex)
At 10th level, as a standard action, a thief can make an attack and if the attack deals sneak attack damage, the thief can make a free Steal combat maneuver to take an item from the creature during combat; otherwise this ability can only be used in a surprise round before the target has acted. If the attack is successful, the target takes a –5 penalty on the Perception check to notice the theft.
